Dr. Anne Carol Goldberg Shares Her Expertise in Austria

Dr. Goldberg recently presented lectures for The Seminar in Lipid Metabolism and Cardiovascular Risk which was held in Salzburg, Austria and sponsored by the American Austrian Foundation (AAF.) Dr. Goldberg’s lectures were titled: “LDL and CVD: Epidemiology and Clinical Trials”  and “Cardiovascular Risk Reduction in Women.”

The Seminar in Lipid Metabolism and Cardiovascular Risk was part of AAF’s “Open Medical Institute – Medical Education beyond Borders” program. The program consists of seminars, observerships and distance learning in medicine, and was established in 1993.

Dr. Goldberg is a leader and international expert in clinical lipid research. She is actively involved in patient care, teaching, and research and has given numerous presentations to professional, scientific and lay audiences and published more than 40 clinical articles and book chapters. She has participated in numerous clinical trials involving the use of drugs for lowering cholesterol levels. Since 1991, Dr. Goldberg has appeared on the annual Best Doctors in America® List which consists of the nation’s most respected specialists and outstanding primary care physicians in the nation.Dr. Goldberg has focused much of her clinical work on difficult-to-treat hyperlipidemia. She is known for her work with children and adults with familial hypercholesterolemia and has established a lipid apheresis center.
