Brian Muegge, MD, PhD, was selected as a 2024 National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Kavli Fellow in recognition of his exceptional early career research. In March 2024, he attended the Kavli Frontiers of Science Symposium in Irvine, California, along with 161 other Fellows from across the nation.
Selected by a committee of NAS members, Kavli Fellows are researchers who have made recognized contributions to science from a variety of disciplines and are of the age of 45 or younger. The Frontiers of Science symposium series brings the Fellows together to learn about transformative research and to build networks with other early career scholars.
I am incredibly humbled and honored to be selected as a Kavli Fellow by the National Academy of Sciences. Meeting other passionate and curious junior scientists from a broad range of disciplines was truly inspirational. The conference inspired me to explore creative new ways that our lab can conduct interdisciplinary research that improves the health of patients.
