Biography

Katrina was born outside of Cleveland, OH, then spent most of her childhood in Rochester Hills, MI. After high school, she attended the University of Pittsburgh as part of the School of Medicine’s Guaranteed Admissions Program, through which she earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and completed her medical school training. She stayed in Pittsburgh to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She is currently an Endocrinology Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis with academic interests that focus on improving the understanding and treatment of obesity and related metabolic disorders. Outside of work, she enjoys running, playing basketball, golf, violin, and guitar.

Research Interests

Developing a better understanding of obesity and related metabolic disorders. Implementing treatment methods and clinical programs focused on promoting health and preventing comorbidities, such as diabetes in these patient populations. Assessment of clinical outcomes, cost effectiveness, and patient satisfaction within these clinical care models.
