Dr. Paulina Cruz Bravo received a CVD-CGE Small Research Project award of $12,100. The title of the project is “Effectiveness of community-based intervention for diabetes and hypertension control among minorities.”
Dr. Cruz Bravo will conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of community-based interventions for diabetes and hypertension control among minorities. The data in the proposed study will clarify important details and gaps on implementation strategies that are effective among minorities affected by T2D and HTN.
The Cardiovascular Disease Comorbidities, Genetics & Epidemiology (CVD-CGE) is an interdisciplinary field, which draws faculty of diverse backgrounds to mentor junior faculty and scientists in this discipline to enhance the participant’s preparation to conduct future research in this field.
