Sina Jasim, MD, MPH attended and participated at the American Thyroid Association’s 2023 annual meeting from September 27 to October 1, which took place in Washington, D.C.
During the Interventional Endocrinology Workshop, Dr. Jasim spoke about the utility of interventional techniques in treating benign thyroid nodules.
Dr. Jasim also gave a late breaking abstract poster presentation titled “Molecular Assessment of Isthmus Thyroid Carcinoma.” Her research focused on looking at the clinical, sonographic and molecular differences of thyroid nodules and cancer in different regions within the thyroid. Toward the end of the annual meeting, Dr. Jasim additionally served as a chair member for the session titled “Thyroid and Aging: treatment in older adults.”
