McGill receives ACP Samuel Eichold II Memorial Award for Contributions in Diabetes 

On April 27, Janet B. McGill, MD received the 2023 Samuel Eichold II Memorial Award for Contributions in Diabetes from the American College of Physicians during their annual Convocation ceremony in San Diego, California. 

The award recognizes Dr. McGill’s research contributions, which have significantly improved the quality of care and clinical management of diabetes. Widely known amongst the endocrine community, she has authored more than 225 peer-reviewed papers, 38 book chapters and has edited four books during her career. 

I want to thank Dr. Dan Goodenberger and my colleagues at Washington University for the nomination and the American College of Physicians for selecting me for the Samuel Eichold II Memorial Award for Contributions in Diabetes. I am deeply honored to receive the award and recognition for decades of work in diabetes.
