Biography

Dr. Yalla attended Barnard College, Columbia University in NY before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. She graduated from Sri Ramachandra Medical School and Research Institute, Madras, India in 2005. Subsequently she completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky with a focus on women’s health between 2006-2009, and then completed her fellowship in endocrinology between 2009-2011. In 2012 she became a faculty member in the division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipid Research at Washington University and in July 2013 will join the faculty in the Bone Health Program.
