Vandad Saadat, MD

Clinical Trainee

I was born and raised in Tehran/Iran. I left my country at age of 18 and relocated to Vienna, Austria in order to get help from Hebrew Immigrant Aid society in Vienna for the process of obtaining asylum from the United States. After more than a year of living in Vienna, I obtained asylum from the US and moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of 19 in 2005 and proudly became a US citizen in 2010.

I completed my undergraduate education at UCLA in psychobiology. Since I had interest in both medicine and public health, I completed MD/MPH dual degree program at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Florida and completed my IM residency at Loma Linda University Health. After residency, I worked both as a hospitalist and clinical teaching faculty for about three years. I am extremely excited to be part of Washington University.
