On July 18, Kelley Williams, MD was selected to receive the “LeJIT” Teaching Award for her excellence during the 2022 Block 3 Medicine Clerkship from May through June.
The award recognizes how Dr. Williams completed just-in-time (JIT) assessments and integrated them into her clinical and teaching workflows, providing meaningful and timely feedback to students. Williams’ dedication to completing JITs helps students develop their skills and creates a positive learning environment that fosters feedback and growth.
Born and raised in Southern Illinois, Dr. Williams received her undergraduate degree in biology at Saint Louis University in 2011 and her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2015. Following medical school, she completed her internal medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. After, Williams returned to Saint Louis to complete her fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism & Lipid Research, where she then joined the division in 2020, as an Instructor in Medicine. In her practice, she sees patients for endocrinology, transgender medicine, type 1 diabetes and pituitary disorders.
