During the Midwest Islet Club Conference which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 24 and 25, Sumit Patel of Remedi Lab received the Best Poster award.
The two-day event hosted at the University of Minnesota is meant to bring together collaborative engagement between pancreatic islet cell biology investigators within the Midwest region. The conference welcomed senior and junior investigators to attend presentations by trainees and junior faculty. Including a keynote talk, which was established in memory of Dr. Paul Lacy, who pioneered pancreatic islet isolation and transplantation at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
